The Katy Area Democrats is an organization whose purpose
is to promote, support, and serve the Democrats of the Katy area. We
believe that the Democratic Party needs to continue its historic role
as a political party that promotes social justice and the needs of all
people. As a club, we try to keep the Katy area community informed of
the Democratic Party and its principles. We are open to all people who
are interested in helping to forward our goals.

Veselka “Every Vote Counts” Hubert Vo won his first election by just
a few votes and Larry defended Hubert in his challenge. Hear about your

- Rice Harvest Parade Oct 4-Join us and walk with Larry Joe Doherty
in the parade. Meet at Church of Christ parking lot 5thSt and East
Ave at 9:00am. Parade starts at 10:00. The parade should last about

Check out our weekly activist newsletter. We block walk every Saturday
9:30-11:30 in different precincts in the Katy area. If you join the
effort, we will walk in your precinct.
Support the Harris County Consolidated Campaign by purchasing a ticket

dinner on Sept 20 at the Westin Galleria Hotel, 5060 West Alabama.at
the Katy Area Democrat table. John Edwards will be the keynote speaker.
JOHNSON-RAYBURN-RICHARDS DINNER is the major fundraising event of the
year for the Harris County Democratic Party, and all net proceeds from
this year’s dinner will go to the 2008 Coordinated Campaign of the Harris
County Democratic Party to elect candidates countywide this November—up

of 10 which will give recognition to our club.
Volunteer to help with the West side Democratic Consolidated Campaign
efforts to elect Democrats from the courthouse, state house and White
house. Every precinct needs a precinct coordinator to inform Democrats
of campaign events. There are Vote Democratic yard signs and every candidate
also has yard signs. Most are free, but a contribution to the candidate
or consolidated campaign will be appreciated. Yard signs are available
